Hi, i'm curious to know whether i can make over payments using a credit card? I'm trying to remortgage and need an extra two grand to get twenty per cent equity deal. I've got a tesco credit card with £2500 limit, but would balance transfer amount to another 0% card once mortgage is complete. Or is it possible to balance transfer from a current account ( i can get a £5000 overdraft no questions asked from barclays)? Any advice will be helpful thanks

A lender will check the source of your deposit and won't look favourably if you borrow it at all I'm afraid, whether you do it on an overdraft or a credit card IMHO.Best Regards

Thanks for the reply. Is this the case even if the money would be going to my old lender. So my new lender would be supplying only the agreed 80% of property value? My credit limits are all ready in place for them to see on my credit file? Have no real knowledge on credit files, but can they see how i'm using my overdrafts and credit cards or just whether there repaid on time?0
