Praise to Northern Rail

I have to give credit to where its due,

Returning home from the Switch On of the Christmas lights, our train ground to a halt mid stations, all power was gone.

Me, My OH and baby was stuck in a sweltering train, with no power at all for over an hour. We eventually did get home, the next day we sent a letter to Northern Rail to "get it off our chests".

We really did not expect anything to come from it, at the most an apology or reimbursement of the train fare.

However, to our surprise, Northern Rail replied with an apology and offered us two return tickets for any date to any destination with Northern Rail. We have opted to save this until next Summer, where we can decide whether the Lake District or a day out in Blackpool will suffice.

So a big up to Northern Rail for the courtesy.
