New yellow pages book broke back of door letterbox?

Heard a noise at my door today and went to see, saw the new compact yellow pages lying there and what seemed at first like 2 door hairy type draught excluders.
No such luck the guy had forced the yellow pages through the letterbox and knocked the back of it off, so be aware!

OP, perhaps you should make the hole on the inside of your door as big as the hole on the outside face.
