Anyone used a simulator like this? Is this one of the best or is there better?

Don't know about that one, but Virtual Trader on MSN Money is pretty good. And, being UK based (.co.uk not .com), it's a bit more relevant and allows you to "invest" in UK stocks.Everyone needs something to believe in.
I believe I need another beer.0 -

don't these things tend to encourage short-term daytrading, whereas in reality sensible investing is about buying and holding? My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.0 -
I dont know. But out of curosity out of say 100 people how many are successful
at trading shares?0 -
I think the %age would be quite low on the game - as said day trading is awfully difficult to predict.
In real life, the charges and commisions would make profit almost impossable for anyone other than the major investors - although even they would take a long term approach.
....all the above said - as a game it seems pretty cool and a bit of fun - just leave your wallet in your pocket!!!0
