Anyone used a simulator like this? Is this one of the best or is there better?

  • Don't know about that one, but Virtual Trader on MSN Money is pretty good. And, being UK based (.co.uk not .com), it's a bit more relevant and allows you to "invest" in UK stocks.
Everyone needs something to believe in.

I believe I need another beer.
  • As i live in the Uk, would it better to invest in uk or us stocks?

don't these things tend to encourage short-term daytrading, whereas in reality sensible investing is about buying and holding?
My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.
  • I dont know. But out of curosity out of say 100 people how many are successful
    at trading shares?

I think the %age would be quite low on the game - as said day trading is awfully difficult to predict.

In real life, the charges and commisions would make profit almost impossable for anyone other than the major investors - although even they would take a long term approach.

....all the above said - as a game it seems pretty cool and a bit of fun - just leave your wallet in your pocket!!!
