Advice on buying new TV

    DO NOT BUY A 1080P TELLY. At the size you're buying, you'd need to watch it 2ft from the telly to tell the difference between 1080p and 1080i/720p. For the same money you get a mediocre 1080p panel or a good 720p one.

    To rdpro - please avoid the tellies you posted like the plague. Their panels are dire.

    Richer Sounds do Toshibas , LG and Samsung for less than the above two and you can walk in the shop and test them.

    Customer reviews would seem to disagree with your advice.

    My Daughter purchased the AOL and I have to say that I am highly impressed with it.

    Oh and not everybody has a Richer Sounds on their doorstep, my nearest is an 80 mile round trip away.
  • Try last years panasonic/samsung models you should be able to pick up 37" for your budget range.
