My baby never leaked poo out of her nappy tbh so I never had that problem to contend with. I think stardoman had already answered my question in a really constructive and practical way anyway thanks.0 -
If you're using baby wipes (and any other kind of wipes - household cleaners etc.) They keep moist a lot longer if you always turn the pack open side down when you've finished. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

I think Tesco Superfit nappies (purple pack) are great! I found Huggies useless, pampers OK, but not as good value as Tesco. I think there are a lot of factors.
One of my best tips is whatever brand of (disposable) nappy you use, go up a size at night. That will stop leakage!0 -
We use tesco superfit nappies (purple pack) and would buy them over pampers anyday. We also buy our wipes from places like home&bargain, savers etc where they're £1 a pack.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Allowed?? You might want to read about other products that we buy without thinking twice about e.g. liquid soaps, shampoos ets (Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulphate), most proccessed foods (hydrogenatated fats and aspartamine in soooo many products) and so many others - of you can ever spare the time to read the ingredients of all the products you buy, you would be horrified
I read that average disposable nappy contains enough silicone gel to kill a medium sized dog :eek:Peek-a-boo0 -
I only use packets of wipes when I'm out and about. I use cotton wool and water and washable baby wipes (just like mini facecloths) which I think works out qute cheaply. I want to try reusable nappies soon now my son is no longer a newborn. Health Visitors freak out when you mention talc nowadays so I'm always surprised when its still stocked in the shops.0

i wore make-up at the weekend (very rare for me!) and i used a baby wipe to remove it. yuck! my skin felt all crawly, then numb and swollen. it was foul. those were pampers sensitive wipes. i've also used huggies pure before but those made my skin burn and i got a rash. baby got a rash with those too. it's reminded me to never use a wipe on his face, poor little sausage. i'll never touch my face or his with a wipe ever again.
tesco nappies are always getting top marks in consumer tests but i haven't tried them yet. roo was always a huggies baby but their little walkers aren't suiting us at all, we prefer pampers easy up. at certain times depending on how chubby or bony he was we swapped between pampers and huggies for whichever fitted best to avoid leakage at night.52% tight0 -
My friend swears by lidl nappies as the best she's ever used. I use the purple tesco ones with no probs but the green pack ones were beyond hopeless - they used to split all the time. Its horses for courses with nappies - everyone has their own personal faves.
DHs family bought me loads of talc when the babies were born. I think its vile stuff. Its taking me forever to use it as I only use in in shoes to make them smell better but I won't waste anything so can't throw it away0 -
