Life will never be the same again once you have ferminated! May I suggest if possible you put the dog on a blanket whilst you do it, as when we do it to the cat it comes off en masse and goes everywhere! lol

One of my old dogs used to love being hoovered and would lie on the stairs when I was hoovering them, hoping I wouldn't notice and think he was another step!!:D

Whilst I am waiting for my lovely new Furminator to arrive I borrowed one from my MIL (wish she'd shared this secret grooming tool with me before!). Oh my goodness!!!!! I am thankful for the tip to take the dog outside, I have NEVER seen to much hair flying about. The best thing is my dog loved it! I wish I had taken a picture, he is black with a pale undercoat and after I was finished I gathered up two carrier bags of pale hair. He looks like a different dog, very sleek. What a fab invention, a top recommendation, thanks very much to you all.

Furminator's fantastic- use it on The Draught Excluder, but only outside. First time I brushed him with it, I could have stuffed pillows!
