Freaking out :)

hiya
i bank with Barclays and any money i am supposed to recive on a Monday clears on the Saturday.
My housing benefit should have gone in today but it hasn't !!!
My rent is due on monday, so am freaking out a bit lol
I just don't understand why it would have not gone in.
The only things i can think of are
I phoned up child tax credits to change my bank account on tuesday night
I also recived a £10.36 payment from tax credits , which was an underpayment from when i was working last year.
These are the only things, i thought i would have recived a letter if my claim was going to be stopped.

Any one know if any of these reasons would affect my benefits.

Have you looked at your old and new bank account.
If you changed it on Tuesday, it may not have been actioned straight away, it's really not a lot of notice to give them

Hi, this might help calm you down. It's not about housing benefit but my carer's allowance usually shows up in my account other the weekend but very occasionally it doesn't appear until about 8.30am on the Monday morning so I sometimes get a little worried that I'm not getting paid as well.

thanks, hopefully it will go in. Do you bank with barclays ?

Why not give Barclays a call. They should be able to see anything that is coming into your bank account for the next few day and tell you when it will clear.

yes i did that this morning, however he said that he can only see the money once its in the account, he can't see if anything is pending or not

Try not to panic, it might show by tomorrow, occasionally mine doesn't show on Saturday but does on the Sunday. xx

Hi, not now but I did last year and it happened then too.
