hi hope some one can help me please.
Basically my sister works near an asda store so parks there every now and again as sometimes her works car park is often full.
She informs me that Asda have given her a parking ticket as she was there for over 3 hours.
The parking ticket said if she paid with in 7 days it would cost 30.00
However she forgot to pay and now she says it will cost 60.00
i have told her that i didnt think she should have to pay it.
shes really worried that they will take her to court for this money.
is it true they will
has any one been taken to court for parking at Asda for over three hours.?
What should she do next?
any advise would be appricated.
( p.s she also informs me that perviously she had one on those tickets and paid it within the 7 day.)

its a private parking ticket , not a council one , so not enforceable
then again the morals of using the ASDA car park all day as "works car park is full" is another thingEx forum ambassador

It makes little difference if she shops there, the invoice requesting payment is not enforceable, and the letters begging her to pay should be ignored, they will not take her to court as there is no loss.
Also asda has as much right to reserve their parking spots for customers as any landowner, your sister is abusing the site, hence the reason they have a ppc lurking about harassing people, so tell her to alternatives to this car park.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
