Counterfeit I-pod Nano

Hi,
I need some advice on a counterfeit Ipod I received for an xmas present.
1. I bought an Ipod Nano from "ipodsnanosales dot com" which looks very legit.
2. However after attempting to buy the Ipod by submitting a payment, the website indicated that the transaction failed (in Chinese).
3. Few days later i noticed the amount has gone out from my credit card, but under a different website name "Buy-Online-Store dot Info"
4. I received no notification or confirmation of my purchase.
5. I tried to contact the site administrators but there was no contact information
6. Yesterday i received the parcel with the Ipod but its an obvious counterfeit, and does not show any of the features on the site.
7. I have an appointment with my bank today to submit a claim but I just wanted to check if I am entitled to a refund based on the consumer rights.
Has anyone been through this and how did you go about it?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry but it doesn't look like a legit website at all. Where are their contact details?
Really wish people would understand that if a price sounds too good to be true, then it most probably is.
Did you pay by credit card or debit?0 -
Yes I realised this...thanks...
I used a credit card0 -

I used a credit card
Then call your card provider up and make a chargeback.
It's a poor site. I can see why you went for it with attractive prices.
Here's some pointers to help you next time:
(1) The website https://www.ipodsnanosales.com sounds bad. No-one says "ipods".
(2) Do a whois search. The website was created on 10th October 2010 - fairly recent. On the whois search there is no contact information.
(3) There are no geographic addresses on the website and no landline telephone numbers.
(4) At the bottom of each webpage, there is a McAfee Secure logo with a date.... 18th July. You should be able to click through logos like that, but that logo is a jpeg file.
If you want more revenge then report the site to Apple. The man without a signature.0 -
I was conned also by the same site!!
I contacted Mastercard who sent necessary paperwork and requested I obtain proof from a local store that item was a fake. Went to local Apple store who have pre-prepared letters for this very purpose!
Awaiting refund confirmation from Mastercard.
Good luck:(0 -

If I worked for Apple I'd refuse to give those letters out unless people promised to come back and buy a real iPod!! But I am pretty evilI was conned also by the same site!!

Getting married 02.08.14
Wins for the wedding: membership for a 'wedsite' and app, £35 gift voucher for party supplies shop, £50 worth of hand painted signs, 1kg of heart shaped marshmallows :money:0 -
One guesses tis tome of year for trinkets to be given and I some some appear rather cheap.
Though a quick glance into a Google Search brings in various dubious bargains, one guesses if the price if tooooooo good to be true, then it is likely it is.
Now where did I put my motehrs mince pie recipe0
