I bought these a couple of months ago. Had read them as a child and was looking forward to reading them again. I found that they were quite hard to get into at first, after reading other kid's books from authors such as JK Rowling, Jacqeline Wilson, Meg Cabot etc. Enid Blyton's books are SO old-fashioned in comparison! But I stuck to it and was soon hooked. I was literally :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: when the French Madam played her "treek" with the false teeth.

I read these aged 10 and loved them. I was desperate to get to boarding school- only to find that I hated it.

I read them AT boarding school and it was nothing like the one I went to either!

My auntie bought me the box set of the books when I was 10, I read them over and over until they fell to bits. I tried to get them for my dd a few years ago but couldn't find them (not at a reasonable price anyway, I think the cheapest I found them for was £55 a set :eek:) She's too old for them now, but I might treat myself to the set for my birthday in Jan, would love to read them again.
