Is Bank of Scotland connected to Santander in anyway?

Hiya ladies and gents,
I have a Santander account and I also have a Bank of Scotland 'Cardcash' account.
Could you guys confirm that the HBoS are 100% unconnected to Santander?

As you rightly state though, it is very much a part of Lloyds Banking Group (although for the benefit of the OP, the Bank of Scotland banking licence covers the old HBOS brands, but not the Lloyds TSB brands).0 -
