Am I eligable for anything

Hi, firstly i'm new to these forums after viewing for a while i've decided its time to ask for help and in return offer help in any way I can, experiences or with technical things(i promise not to tell anyone how to do something that could result in fire damage
)
I'm in Aberdeen, Scotland, 25yo and have earned on average £385.83 per month for the past three months - probably slightly more over the past 6 months, working part time for a scumbag employer who I'm forced to stay with until I find another job, am seriously struggling. I work part-time - 43.25 hours on average a month over the past three months and the hours change monthly, some weeks I get none, some weeks i get slightly more:mad:
Which benefits am I entitled to if any, income support, tax credits, housing benefits, council tax benefits, I've never claimed before as I've never been unemployed and didn't realise that those in employment could claim anything?
Also a question about tax, up until 5 months ago I was having tax taken off my pay despite earning under the threshold, on newer payslips it says tax to date: 0.00 yet on the older ones it has the amount of tax paid but none have any mention of tax refunded to me
Any help and advice would be great, thanks
Dave

If you are single, your current earnings are more than JSA so you would not be entitled to that. You should put in a claim for LHA/ HB and CTB.Gone ... or have I?0

Working tax credits. If you can get 30 hours a week
Maybe some Housing benefit and council tax benefit.
Do not leave your job if at all possible JSA may sanction any benefit entitlement.
You wouldn't be eligible for Income support.
The working tax credit thing isn't going to happen, i'm never going to get 30hp/w
I'll go down to see about ctb and hb tomorrowdmg24 wrote:If you are single, your current earnings are more than JSA so you would not be entitled to that. You should put in a claim for LHA/ HB and CTB.
