PC freezes (using Firefox)

Options
maybe it's the cold weather but twice this week my PC has frozen during use (using Firefox) - actually three times because when I restarted Firefox after the second freeze (today) it froze again. On all three times I can't find anything to kick the PC into life eg. pluggin/unplugging hardware/ Ctl-Alt-Del, Escape etc. - leaving it ages doesn't change the display either.

I've done (up to date) scans with Avast, Malwarebytes and BitDefender QuickScan - nothing found.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

Simon.

  • Will try reinstalling Firefox thanks - although didn't mean to suggest that it is necessarily the cause of the problem. When the PC freezes, everything is affected not just Firefox.
    Cheers.

Use a different browser for a while, see if the problem persists.
