Selling old laptop-recyling schemes etc

Hi folks- I recently bought a new laptop to replace my old dell inspirion 1501. The dell still works, though has a tendency to overheat and switch off. Does anyone know of any reputable companies that do a recyling scheme for cash for laptops? may as well try and recoup some of the cost back if possible!

Second vote for Ebay - the value of the materials to be got from real recycling (as opposed to breaking for parts to resell on Ebay) is too low for anyone to want to pay anything for them.0

If you post it on your local freecycle/freegle there is bound to be someone who would be grateful for it.0

I'd buy it even with the fault as it'll either be what I suspect it is which is a 10 minute fix or I'll break it for spares.0
