Is it just me.
I’ve lately noticed that several Whisky flavours have changed dramatically to a very Smokey smell and taste.
I always chose to buy Bells until they introduced this appalling and choking change to their product. More recently, several other brands have followed suit, or are they all getting it from the same barrel?
The latest to join in is Famous Grouse (My current favourite), but thank goodness its not the regular product they’re changing, it’s Famous Grouse Black Label which they are actually advertising on TV as having a ‘distinctive Smokey flavour’.
Does anyone out there actually like this burnt offering stuff?

I love the burnt offering stuff

I love Islay whisky such as Laphroaig and Ardbeg, if you're not a smokey/peaty fan it would be wise to avoid these.

In that case you should try Lidl's Mcdowell whisky. It tastes like it has been distilled using bonfire ash.
As they were offering it at a bargain price I bought 2 Litres.
WOW that was a mistake.
