Scottish Power Capped price
Hi, everyone!
Never been on a capped plan as i never quite got the idea - but i decided to change my price plan as now my son sleeps in his bedroom and we're warming the whole house. I signed up for Scottish Power Capped plan thinking as it was a year cap price i only had to pay the cap price. Submitted my readings the other day and was 20 GBP in debit, so i got an email saying my direct debits are rising from 58 to 79 pounds. I don't moan that i have to pay more (i use it i'll pay it) but what was the point of this year cap price plan? Can anyone help me understand this?
Thank you!

Its the UNIT price that is capped Not the usage or the DD payment.
The good thing about it is that you did not get the price increase this time round0 -
Thank you, Ricky9, but the tariff is capped 950GBP for the year, not 10.5 a unit. This is what is confusing me - a year price not unit has been capped.0
