Redundant and worried

Hi
I was divorced a couple of years ago and have to pay for my wifes mortgage and 2nd charge on the house £1400. The order was put through the family court. I have continued to pay this and so far have paid over £65000 since I left the family home.
Unfortunately it looks like I may now be made redundant. I will recieve a figure of around £7800 made up of statatory and one times due to age etc.
My partner works but following my divorce settlement we have suffered financially. However I will not be entitled to legal aid. I will need to use some of the money to obtain legal advice in order to vary the court order as clearly with no job I will not be able to support the payments.
Anyone know if the court will order that my redundancy money be handed over to my Ex?

No real help I'm afraid but feel for you.The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

Hi you do not say where you are living or whether there is any equity in the property. If there is no equity and you are living in rented accommodation then bankrutptcy may be an option0
