Xbox 360 Call Of Duty Black Ops £45.00
Xbox 360 Fable Iii £45.00
Xbox Fallout : New Vegas £45.00
Post And Packing £3.95

They charged my account -
Charged To Delta £138.95

I used 3 voucher codes one for £30 off, £25 off and one for £20 off.

For some reason they refunded me -
Refund To Delta £30.00
Refund To Delta £30.00
Refund To Delta £30.00

So altogerther i paid £48.95

I then got my nov statement and it was fine and now in Dec they are asking me for £55 back.

I have opened all the games and would never have if i knew sooner this would happen, they never contacted me to tell me about this i had to find out myself while going to purchase another item.

What can i do? They now say they wont let me return the games opened and are charging me a month after purchase??

Help please!!

  • Also the reason they are doing this is because you cant use more than one voucher code and there system only accepted my three due to a "technical error"

    Personally i cant find that in the RT&C's but they claim its in there

    They've made a mistake, a mistake which it seems you knew about at the time because you saw the delta refunds, although it could be argued that you would have assumed you'd be undercharged by £15 (the difference between the vouchers for £25 and £20 and the refunded amounts). As far as I can tell, you actually owe them £60 (two lots of accidentally refunded £30), if you can only use one voucher at a time. Not sure where they've got the £55 from. But anyway, you still owe them money. You could ask that they allow you to pay it back in instalments seeing as it was their mistake, but you've got to pay it back.

    I don't know about the T&Cs of the vouchers; I'd have to see them.

  • But this transaction happened a month ago, money was paid, and items have been received, this is their error? how can they do this?
  • were the codes allocated to you specifically or did you just find them? it does state in their terms and conditions that if you use a code incorrectly/not allocated then they can revoke them and ask you to pay full price.
  • Yeh codes were all eligible to me, but they are charging me back due to more than one code been used.

    Hi,

    PLease see below the terms and conditions for discount codes for Very.co.uk:

    If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:

    (i) you are entitled to use the code;
    (ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
    (iii) you agree to the terms set out below.

    If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis, e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

    @JonnyDixon - Only 1 discount code can be used per order. Judging by what you have mentioned in previous posts, Very.co.uk have allowed you to keep the £20 discount code as this may have been the only code available to your account at the time.

    Hope this helps

  • Chris in the T&C's you have posted it states nothing about using one code?

    Read what's posted again. Those terms relate to their ability to claim back the value of the vouchers you tried to use. Not to the terms of use of each voucher.

    @JonnyDixon,

    If you have genuinely received each one of these codes either by post or by email, in the terms and conditions of each voucher code it will state "this voucher can only be used once and not in conjunction with any other discount or promotion".

    If you have these codes either emailed to you or posted and it doesn't mention this, please forward them onto us at Network@VeryHQ.co.uk with your account details and we will look into this for you

    Hope this helps
