Changing a route with Ryanair

I want to change a flight which goes from Birmingham to Girona to East Mids to Girona but when I go into 'manage my bookings' I can't work out how to do it. It only seems to allow me to change the date not the route. Any advice anyone?

as far as i know, it can't be done.

will basically be a new ticket, if you do indeed want to change your route.

Ignore the above, apparantly you can, but i guess you would have to call them and, after all the charges & phone calls, might just be easier to re-book a new ticket.

Alternatively, travel as currently booked. BHX & EMA are not that far away from each other (36 miles, approx)

  • Thanks HXDave for the reply but the site clearly says you can change the route you want to travel by.
I want to change it because Ryanair have changed the flight time to 6.30 am and it will be nigh on impossible to get my lot there at this time in the morning!
I would prefer to travel the next day at a civilised time. S

If ryanair sent you an email about the change offering to let you cancel (I think they have to do this if the new time is more than a certain number of hours away from your original flight time) then I've heard of them changing to different routes for free over the phone.

Yes, the call will cost, but at least you should end up travelling at a better time.

Spheric, i think the time difference between the original flight time and the revised flight time only has to be 3 hours or more, in order to qualify for a full refund. i'm sure i saw it somewhere earlier, but cant just find the right part of the T&C's at the moment.

If Ryanair have offered you a refund with the flight time change look into accepting the refund and then just booking new flights from East Mids. It may work out the same price or even cheaper, it may not of course.

    Failing that call customer services.
