posting on wrong boards

hello, i must have sent at least 5 requests and more than that on spam posts due to members posting on the wrong boards, especially the grabbit one as it recieves the most views
however i do not find that the only way to do so is to report them as abuse then other, shouldnt there be a specific button (?) to alert the board guides that the post is in the wrong place
this has been an increasing problem over the past few days and it really defeats the purpose of having lots of varied boards if members just post on the ones that recieve the most views rather than the board that is relevant to their thread

The fact is that a small number new users are always going to end up posting in the wrong place because this is their first experience with MSE forums, not much you can do about that really.
Personally I don't see that many posts that are in the wrong place, although I did see one the other day and replied suggesting that the OP repost their question in one of the other boards.0 -
You could always PM a BG, but I don't think the forum team are too overly concerned with posters posting on the wrong board.0

.....and surprisingly life goes on!Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Spam is totally different to posting in the wrong board and where appropriate there is a spam button to press.
When you suggest that people have posted in the wrong board this is your opinion and may not be the opinion of others but as alwaysonthego suggests you can always pm a BG and if they think it should be moved for a better response then they will do so.

None of the buttons alert any of the BG's the reports from all the buttons (spam, abuse, thanks, enter) only go the MSE team and you should send any reports via the abuse button.

As rubytuesday says, life goes on even if people use what you consider the wrong board or threads are duplicated, its not the end of the world.0
