I recently changed to E.on SaveOnline 3 which states that it will be at least 6% cheaper than the standard rate which looking at it now may have been a mistake due to the recent advice.

Currently on a rate of 17.62 for the first 900kw with 9.15p at 6% cheaper than the standard rate until 1st November.

My old company (Scottish Power) tonight have rung back with a fixed rate for 2 years at 18.2p electric for the first 900kw followed by 10.3p a unit after.

They are going to call back at 8.30pm but I am thinking I should switch back again?

So confused!! :mad::mad:

  • I think E.ON Saveonline 3 will be considerably cheaper than the SP Fix, I think the Tier prices you have gave are before any other discounts E.ON apply.

    Thanks for your reply.

    The prices I quoted are off my payment plan and say they are the discounted electricity prices.

  • Save online 3 is cheaper than all current range of Scottish Power tariffs, online energy saver 11/12, discounted energy March 2012, capped price energy dec 2012, so check what Scot Pow are offering you and do not be seduced by pence per unit rate costs, remember get 8% discount off bill cost with Eon (dual fuel dd disc) Scottish Power's discount is a total of £32.55 a year.
  • E.ON also offer a tariff which is fixed until March 2012 so compare that with the SP one if you are wanting a fixed tariff. I would have thought both will be considerabley more expensive than the tariff you're on based on your figures.

    Also remember that if you do change then you're likely to be charged a cancellation fee.

    I decided to just ignore Scottish Powers pleas for now and see how things go with EO.N. I will have cashback coming at the end of this month to so that helps a bit.
