How do i check to see if any one as replyed

First of all i have to say im new to this and the answer to this may be quite obvious.
but how do i find out if someone has answered my post?

When you post a new thread or reply to one, there is an 'Additional Options ' area below the reply box. One of these is Thread Subscription, and if you select 'Instant email notification', an email is sent to your registered email address when someone replies.

The other way is to simply refresh the thread in your browser (Ctrl+F5 keys) and see if new replies have been added.

i have also had trouble with this but i now realise that if you click on your own user name in a thread it brings up all the threads you have posted in and you can then click on the spcific thread

In the pinkish coloured menu bar above the main blue menu bar at the top of the page you will see something called "User CP" - if you go to that, it will list the threads where replies have been made to any threads you have posted on

Also, in the forum topic page, the envelope pix at the left side of the threads will show an arrow if it's one you have posted on.

In your thread: In Days Out: Where to eat out, 2-4-1 - early bird - etc - so far, you have had 0 replies

In your post in: Shop but Don't Drop: Eating out cheaply 2-4-1 etc so far you have 4 replies

Obviously, in this post, you now have 4 :laugh:

If you try listing all subscriptions but there is nothing there, you may have your options set to 'do not subscribe'.

To check:

1. Click on 'user CP'
2. Click on 'edit options' from the list on the left
3. Look at the 'messaging and notification' section and check that on the 'default thread subscription mode' you don't have 'do not subscribe'. I have mine set to 'no email notification' so I have them listed in my 'subscribed threads' folder, but don't get emails about them.
