Wireless connection issue

I have a Compaq laptop which I use downstairs and connect wireless to a BT Home Hub wich is upstairs....This was working fine last night

This morning it will not connect wirelessly even though the signal quality is excellent...If I take the laptop upstairs and sit withing ft of the home hub it still wont connect....Im having to use an ethernet cable to attach....

I can connect wireless to what is probably my router via BT FON....My ipod can connect to the router too.

So what has happened to the laptop connection...Ive powered off the home hub...rebooted laptop numerous times but still wont connect

Sometimes wireless profiles can get messed up, I would delete it on your laptop (just the one to your router), then scan for new networks. Hopefully it will find your router and you can reconnect with your wireless key.
How to do this varies, what is your OS, and are you using Windows to manage wireless connections - or 3rd party software.
  • Many Thanks....sorted it now
