Just bought an Ipod Nano - a few questions though

Just bought my 8gb Ipod Nano from Boots :j :T

Was wondering on a few questions :

1.) should i get some sort of dock or is it just for show, if so which ones do you reccomend ?

2.) decent cases to protect it ?

3.) decent headphones ?

4.) plan to get an FM transmitter thing so i can use it in the car, suggestions ?

Thanks !!!

    1) I have a dock, but then i have spare cables. If you are only going to use you iPod at one PC a dock might be useful. I like the apple ones.

    2) Yes! I have the iPod socks. Bit pricey and not to everyones taste though.

3)I like the iPod ones, if you can get them to fit in your ears. But i prefer these http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=100020

    4) iTrip Auto, best frequency range.

Might want to be careful if choosing those headphones. The protective rubber around the wires is awful. Have a google around if you are considering them. It seems fairly common. Mine went within 6 months, and I did look after them. It basically just starts to peel off until you're left with exposed wire.

A pair of Sennheiser CX300's or PX100's are both good choices. The PX200/250's are ok too, although they don't quite sound as good as the 100's. The 100's aren't great for travelling though due to their supra-aural design (not noise cancelling).

A mate's did that, i haven't had any issue with mine though. I like them as have trouble getting 'phones to stick in my ear. Will have a look at the CX300's if/when these go

Sorry to hijack thread, but does anyone know if there is a set date when these are going to be made legal (I can't see that the comission will refuse to make them legal)?

I think some are ok. They may have changed the coating. Sony say that it's to stop the wires tangling, but I found the rubber coating had a "sticky" feel to it and only made the wires tangle up even more. I think the trick is not to twist them, then they won't shed.

Aside from that I did like them. Great sound quality for what you're paying.
