unless you are peter crouch then you should have no problem with newer houses , most ceilings are well over 7ft , and period properties tend not have artex0 -
OP says he has plaster mouldings on some ceilings, so overboarding may not be feasible. I'd skim over it but check how well its attached first.0

We have had all of the ceilings in our house skimmed over because of the Artex. Look loads better and done quickly, its made a real difference in our house.0

White asbestos was part of Artex up to the mid 80's so anything applied in the last 30 years is OK. Before that date get a professional in to remove it.You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0
