You are legally entitled to that information. is it not on your rental agreement? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Well thats the thing, we dont have it, we been asking for it for weeks and he just keeps saying he will get it to us, but were still waiting.0

An agent has to provide an address for the LL in the UK within 14(?) days of a written request otherwise rent is not due...
However, this may be 'Mr LL, c/o agent's address...' which doesn't help you
Other option is to look on the land registry (costs £4). Look for the property and, if done correctly, it should give the LL's home address.
HTHExcuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0 -
Go to your EA and get the agreement.
Or, maybe, your landlord doesn't want any dealing with his tenants? Maybe he has employed the agent to do everything for him?0 -
yes that is the case, but the agent is not doing a good job, so we need to contact landlord0

What is the agent doing (or indeed not doing) which is causing the problem?
The agent is obliged to release the information to you if you apply in writing though. It will only be address/name.0 -
I would write to the estate agents and request it, I think they are obliged to give you the information. If all else fails as someone else said above get a copy of the land registry. I would definitely pursue it in case of emergency/when the EA is shut etc.
I was quiet lucky actually because our EA were a bit of a joke, but the LL happened to have to come round the day we moved in to sort out the boiler so I managed to get his phone number - he basically told me he thought the EA took the p**s a bit and I should just phone him if its urgent, needless to say when our oven broke the next day I was straight on the phone to him (lucky considering the EA was shut). New oven arrived the next day tooMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

It's a criminal offence not to provide name and address within E&W of LL within 21 days of written request. Make a written request, and hand deliver with a witness or send recorded delivery.
It can be a c/o address though.
As others have said, also worth checking land registry, will give you name and address, hopefully address is current but with name you can search on web and may find him.0
