Lowest cost temp insurance anyone please?
Following on the saga of the duff van that has packed up only 2 months after purchase - son needs to get temporary comp insurance to cover a courtesy car the garage are lending him whilst the van is being repaired.
Can anyone please suggest best place/way of getting this for about 14 days, bearing in mind son is 24, has only held a licence for 3 months and will be using it for work.

Can he not transfer his van insurance over to the car, then transfer it back once it is sorted?0

Hi inactive, well we thought that too - not so
As its a commercial vehicle insurance policy it cant be transferred to a car
I dont know - we seem to be banging our heads against walls all the time lately.
OH is now going to ask a mate if we can borrow his spare van - because we can transfer the comp insurance from boys van policy over to another van. Lets see if mate is willing now.0 -
Good luck, 14 days temporary cover is not going to be cheap, as you probably know.0

I'm with Admiral
just picked up a 1.9dci laguna as couldn't afford the RenaultSport clio i had. I wanted to keep the clio insured temporarily, and Admiral did this for 14 days for just £20
My case is probably not relevant at all but thought i'd post anywayIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
The Post Office insurers have said that if he swops to another van temporarily they will charge only the admin charge for it £50. But we need to find a van to swop to now.0
