Anywhere good to eat near south end of M5?

Hi - hopefully I'm posting in the right forum (feel free to move if not)

I'm planning to drive from Leeds to Cornwall tomorrow, and I'm trying to find somewhere reasonable to stop off for a late lunch. Looking for somewhere fairly easy to get to from the M5, probably around the Bristol area somewhere.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Just off Junction 21 (Weston-super-Mare, about 20 minutes past Bristol, depending on traffic), there is a pub/restaurant called The Summerhouse, which I have always found to be really nice. In my experience it isn't too busy at lunchtimes, and the food has always been good when we've gone there.

It is literally 2 minutes off the motorway, so quite handy.

There are also a couple of places at Cribbs Causeway, just after the M4 junction but at this time of year it is likely to be horrifically busy.

Thanks Lilystar - Cribbs Causeway was my backup plan, but it's definitely good to have some other ideas to try...

Don't know whether you will pick this up, my suggestion would be The Priory in Portbury which is about 2 mins from J19 of the M5. take the middle lane as you come off the m-way, take the exit for Bristol and then almost immediately turn right. Follow the road until a sharp left hand bend & turn right. Follow the road, go round the right hand bend and it is there on the right. Very good pub with very good food.
