Paid on Debit card and no item or refund

Hi there,
Please help!!!!

I bought a 600 pounds camera lense from an internet shop , and i havent recieved the item, i have rang many many times and they say its going to be delivered next week, then i wait and they say the same thing and thats been going on for months.
I have now cancelled the order but havent recieved a refund on my debit card, so i am 600 quid out of pocked and cant get the company to give me the item or a refund, apart from going to the address and demanding my money what rights do i have please and whay can i do?

If you have paid with a debit card then you have very little rights unfortunately....you may have lost your money for good unless you manage to get a refund from the merchant

If it was a Visa debit card you could try using the Visa chargeback scheme - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases#debitcard
although it depends on how long ago you placed the order - you have to apply within 120days for a purchase from a UK company.

Not sure how likely it is that you'd get the money back but you could certainly give it a go.
