I've got two tickets from Glasgow - London on the 11th January 2011 if anyone needs them - the earlier train wasn't available at the time and have had to re-book ggrrr!

    I've been Money Tipped!
OP where did you find out about this? My friend is getting married in November next year and she lives in Oxford. I'm her Chief Bridesmaid and live in the north of Scotland so need to go backwards and forward a fair bit between now and then lol would be good to know if there was an email or something that I could subscribe to so I can keep an eye out for deals like this :)

I just got the email, I book quite a bit as my son lives in London - just booked him a ticket back in January for £8

There was a link to pass on to friends:

    Hi Linsey

Thanks for the link, the cheapest i have got so far for Doncaster to London Kings Cross, on 12th January is £37.80 for 2 people. Times are 11.05 set off and return time 9pm.

Can't seem to get the £8 single deal at all!!! But £37.80 is still a good deal.

I couldn't get it at first, but you need to go via the OP's east coast 8 link and that should work (it didn't work when I went through the other link)

This is a fantastic deal - my BF and I have just booked a wee trip from Aberdeenshire to York! For £16 return each! Thanks OP.

  • I've got tickets for January and February. £16 return, London to Aberdeen. Add the £7.50 return fare Brighton to London and my £10 Oyster card for the tube. £57 for two return journeys from one end of the country to the other.
Brilliant find, thanks very much OP.
  • Im thinking of going away on a break from london, but still not sure about the destination. Thinking of glasgow, newscastle or york but what is there to do over there? Can anyone suggest a nice place with tourist attractions valid for this offer (other than edinburgh)?
