Hi

I currently have gas and electricity supplied by Atlantic on standard domestic online tariff. Every year I receive a rebate on both accounts of one months direct debit payment for the previous year.

My Atlantic costs, based on the last 12 months Kw usage, are: Gas £489 and electricity £919. Total £1408.

I have done a switching comparison and moving to EON's save online 4 will save me £302 a year. NPower next best with a £239 saving. The majority of the saving is on the electricity account.

I dont know whether EON have increased their prices recently. Have they?

If they haven't and it the comparison with Atlantic doesn't include the yearly rebate then I may be better staying put or only switching my electricity as my Atlantic gas rebate covers the saving.

I too am with Atlantic and have been for the past 3 years. At times I feel I could save money by switching, but by the time they all put their prices up I find I am better off staying where I am, I like the company, they are very helpful and accomadating, they help me with all my queries to my satisfaction, they explain things in English and not in Jargon, and as you say we get a full pro rata monthly rebate. I am staying.

I too am with atlantic, but the EDF dual fuel saver 7 saves me £170 over the year, plus the £100 bonus and (hopefully £80) Quidco cash back , total saving £350 , makes it worth the switch for me !!

As long as your happy your ok where you are then stay , but for me its worth the switch !!

Atlantic are now Scottish Sothern , group who put their prices up as soon as the others do , yet slow to lower !!!

had been with atlantic for 6 years and stayed because competitive prices and good customer service- however switched to eon saveonline2 in sept as comparison sites reckoned much cheaper- jjust had first bill from mid sept til 1st dec and on working out figures saved approx £120 over that period with eon compared with atlantic plus £55 from quidco for switching-i reckon atlantic have let their competitive edge slip a bit over last couple of years-also customer service with eo seems on par with atlantic
