Quidco £80 EDF energy cash back!?!

Morning,
I don't usually post and wasnt sure where to put this as it's more of a query..
But.. did anyone else sign up with EDF energy through quidco to get £80 cash back? (As recommended by MSE)
I signed up for it for my parents and it was a lot cheaper so wasn't just doing it for the cashback - luckily! (Although there was E-on that was a bit cheaper! but with the £80 cashback I was going to give them EDF worked out the winner!)
It has come up on my account as tracked so I put in n EDF energy in quidco to see how long it usually takes and EDF is no longer on Quidco!?!?!!? Is this a big scam to get us to join through them and then just not honour the cash back?!!?
Are they allowed to do this or am I being rubbsh and looking in the wrong place! Quidco has always been brill for me but this is a bit rubbish!!

Hi,
Cashback deals do end and EDF's current cashback offer has ended, which is why it's always best to take advantage of the fantastic deals on our site as quickly as possible.
You did take advantage, though, and your purchase has tracked. The fact that EDF don't have a cashback offer on our site at the moment won't affect your cashback, so there's no need to worry!
If you have any further queries at all, please contact our QuidCare Team via a support message. Here's the link:

Well that's interesting. I applied for the offer in late-November. On the 29th November they sent a letter out giving my details and telling them to contact them them if they were incorrect. Due to the vagaries of the postal system this letter arrived sometime after the 15 December by which time I was on holiday.
On return after Christmas I found the letter, checked the details, found them to be correct -so I took no action.
Today (5th January) I received another letter from them - dated 21st December (hey that postal service is really bad) saying that they have cancelled the changeover as I've not supplied them with information.
So even if there had been a reason to contact them with changes to details I still would have found the agreement cancelled
Now on the confirmation email it says that it would take 4-8 weeks to do the transfer. However they cancelled the agreement exactly 4 weeks after I had applied.
As you might guess I'm not very happy especially as I lost the Quidco bonus in addition to the £100.
Wonder what they'll say tomorrow when I get in contact with them.0 -

That's if you get through!
I can't, and no response to my two emails. Your story sounds horrendous. I switched on 5 dec and heard absolutely NOTHING after the initial confirmation email.
Edf really don't get customer service do they?
I reckon they were overwhelmed by the take-up and realised they would lose money from the bonus and cash back (considering energy companies only make about £90 per customer) therefore have fobbed us off."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." Apparently it's all the fault of my current supplier. But that if I get the information then they'll reinstate the contract & I'll get all my money
Oddly enough just after the phone call the post arrived complete with a letter dated 1st December asking for my meter details & readings0
