  • Thanks claire bought 4 dresss for next years parties and a skirt for work all hanging in my wardrobe.
Talk about express delivery ordered and received in 30 hours, i caught the hermes guy about to leave as i pulled on my drive, he opened the back of his van and had two large dress rails in the back,
he said, "the depot's full of clothes from debenhams are they giving them away?"
no but they are crazy prices.

Claire21 is an angel :T cant wait for her M&S Xmas sale post. :D
  • i ordered something from debenhams and it seems like it will not be deliver in time for the occassion i bought it for... im now planning to go to one of their store but wanted to know if it will be the same price as online. online its 15% off on beauty and fragrance, is it the sane instore? any msers knew?
i wish i have live my life a little bit off the book, took a chance and gamble
  • I bought some items before the big sale update and they have been with the courier for five days, I wouldn't mind so much but I need one item by Tuesday at the latest or it will be useless to me and it is unacceptable to be waiting over a week for delivery especially as the courier just hasn't bothered to deliver it :wall:

Placed 4 orders on the 7th, coat, jewellery etc and got the usual thanks for your order and confirmations and now this morning the 14th had 4 emails saying they are unable to fulfil !!!

I's taken them a full week to tell me this and have now probably missed other alternatives I could have got instead
It's not just about the money
  • I've not had much luck with Debenhams - placed an order instore on 18 November and still not received part of it - despite 5 phonecalls and assurances that they'll call me back within 48 hours.

Also, placed a large online order on 3 December, one parcel arrived after about a week and the other two had been with Hermes for over ten days but yesterday tracking said they'd been signed for by customer yesterday lunchtime but it wasn't me! I'm waiting (yet again) for Debenhams to get back to me but I'm not happy as I haven't got my items (most are now oos) or my money back. I rang again yesterday evening and asked to be put through to customer complaints but they were closing in 10 minutes and not answering phone! I was promised that request was being sent again for someone to call me back and also advised to email via the website contact details, but no news as yet!
  • All my orders turned up yesterday, albeit 6 days after the courier collected them from the delivery depot. Shame I wasn't in to find out why they picked them up and then held on to them for so long. I agree you have to be quick with items in the clearance section as there is usually only one in stock and the system takes a few minutes to take it out of stock hence cancellations and as annoying as the cancellations can be, I have had some amazing finds over the last few years including a radley bag at 70% off and a pair of Carvella shoes for £5.00 and again I have missed some amazing finds too.

I do wish they would use a better courier company though.

  • I had forgotten about my jewellery order, just receieved an email saying return in progress, what does that mean?
Is it another way of saying out of stock because i don't want to return them,i haven't even received them ?
  • Return in progress is the status it goes to when they are preparing to refund you, it is likely the itme was out of stock when you bought it due to their not so nstant updating stock system

  • My observation is they probably process orders in reverse order!

My 1st order was all jewellery and ordered very promptly - orders placed later were processed and delivered 1st but only just had an email saying NONE of the 1st order can be supplied :(
  • I was hoping it was an error,as it says that on all 3 items i ordered .
