Thats EXTREMELY poor work TBH and they should be hauled over the coals for it. It needs ripping out and redoing properly before any further work is done. No electrician has done that nor even a semi competant person. The customer is NOT SATISFIED!!

    Cheers

That wiring breaks about every rule in the book !! I would love to know what happens to it when it disappears into the blockwork or is it just buried in the mortar joint. Get it sorted by someone competent.

That's a real bodge. Cable running at an odd angle would be a surprise! I'm would be ashamed as a DIYer to do work like that. But once it's plastered, no-one will know...;)

    Blimey!

I always thought Part P was needless interference.

    Now I'm not so sure.

So what is the best way to proceed.

The work done was by a subi electrician who was paid separately by the relative ,but all work was organised by the conservatory company.

All money has been paid to the conservatory company as well.

I have the phone number of the builder ( not the electrician) and the salesman , who is the best to approach to get this sorted ?
  • No bonding.

    Fail..............

You complain to the person you contracted the work with, not whoever they subcontract to.

Since when has adding sockets or a spur to an existing ring or radial circuit been Part P notifiable?

    Cheers

Depends where the supply for the sockets has come from ? if from a special location then yes it is notifiable works.

Looking at the photos it looks like thats a spur off a spur ?

How many cables go into the first socket and how many in the second socket ?
