Assuming you live at home, if you earn just under a £1k per month, then you should already have some savings - or do you spend everything you earn, in which case how are you going to pay back a loan?

Good advice from the other posters - save up - in 3 months time you will be able to buy a today model much more cheaply as it will have been superseded by a newer version. The alternative will be having funds available to buy the current version - you can't always have everything in life when you want it and for this it's not worth going into debt.

It's a wind up, spent 8 months applying for a loan that could pay off in three.

I was just about to post exactly the same thing.

the piggy could have had THREE HD TV/Xbox by now and not paid a penny in interest.

I don't think his figures add up if he hasn't managed to save enough in the 8 Months he has been looking.

If he gets one, I feel a Mis-Sold loan post looming in the future.

  • Am I dreaming or is it Xmas in a few week? Lol.

As said,in the 8months you have been applying, you could have bought a really nice tv and an xbox with lots of games.
Just save up,if you carry on with the mindset of I want that and I want it now,you will be in debt in a few years time.

Trust me! I'm talking from experience.

  • Thanks for the replies. Pinch yourself your not dreaming it is christmas soon! My parents dont have alot of money so I finance everything I do myself, so im not looking for anything extraordinary this christmas. Agreed it could be a bad idea to apply for credit but when it comes to saving I am one of the worst. If there is a bill coming out beginning/middle of the month I will put money aside for said bill as it is a necessity, but if its money left over at the end of the month it will be spent on nights out/food/drink ect ...hard as I try not to(dont go mad ladies and gentlemen you have all been there at some point yourselves!). This is why it would be slightly easier on my part to get something on credit.

Ive been told by countless family/friends/work colleagues ect about credit and getting into debt and take most of these warnings onboard. May have to learn some discipline hard as that is. Ill wait a few months to see what I can save.
