Bella italia bristol just awful.

I went to the bella italia in cabot circus, bristol. Was totally awful.

I order a caffe latte and wife had hot chocolate both were warm.

starter we had the share platter, pork ribs were totally cold. I complained and the manageress said they only served them warm?? she came back and said they would do special hot portion which they did.
Wife had salmon and asked for no olives, turnt up with olives lol. And i had a tastless burger with warm chips. My burger was waiting around 5 minutes to be brought from the hot counter to me.

Would never go there again and would advise others to skip this bella italia. On our way out someone else was sending there food back as it was cold..

I could understand if they were busy but had it been any quieter in there they would have closed.

I have had similar experiences in Leicester -waited an hour for the meal and then my friends Pasta had a hair in it. Another 40 minutes for a replacement which was not cooked. In the end they did take that off the bill.

however, I went back recently (work lunch) and actually their service was very good.

Bella Italia in Durham was the complete opposite. Was there in September when on holiday, the service and the food were very good and I would definitely recommend.

  • Methinks a letter to head office would help to get the service looked at.

I went there yesterday and it wasn't very good!

When we entered, there was only one table occupied. The lady said "table for two?" and then told us to take a seat while they found us one?! Had to wait while they finished faffing on with napkins before we were taken to a table.

There were lengthy waits for each course for no apparent reason as it was very quiet in there. Hubby's pizza was over cooked and I ordered a chicken breast with a lemon and chilli glaze. It came swimming in oil which didn't taste of lemon or chilli.

It was really nice sitting in the conservatory bit overlooking the river though. The river has frozen over and I've never seen it like that before.
Here I go again on my own....

I think Bella Italia is way overpriced, as is Cafe Rouge, i only go with Tesco vouchers and even then its still seems to cost a fortune.
