BUYAGIFT - dont bother

I bought my other half £100 gift card from buy a gift last year time went on and I checked and you only get 10 months not the usual 12 to use the token, he was in time, but due to it being a token he had to order on the phone, no way of ordering online, he wanted a rib ride for two on offer at £10.00 and a sailing trip for two at £90.00. He was told to fill in the form and send back to BUYAGIFT, several weeks later we chased and they never received the form and guess what the rib ride was now £20.00 even though they had details of the telephone call they would not let him have the rib ride at £10.00. So i thought I know where to look and found a code on MSE for £10.00 off anything over £90.00 but phoned today and was told you cant use these codes on giftcards, I asked to speak to the manager and would have been still on hold if I hadnt given up. They make so much money from people never taking up the gift cards and they certainly try to make it as difficult as possible to use them! - Never again

You are right... In the past, not all of our vouchers had the functionality to redeem online; but the good news is that now all of our vouchers do. We are very happy that this new process will eliminate the issues you have mentioned.

i had the opposite experience with them. Bought a voucher, having read the terms and conditions. Then my daughter could not use it in time, phoned spoke to a very helpful woman, paid a reasonable extra fee the voucher was extended by six months

Sorry I have to agree re BuyaGift. A year or so ago I bought some tickets to Alton Towers for my daughter that she could use at any time (experience type ones), and when I came to check out I ticked the wrong box to get them electronically rather than hard copy. When I looked at the email I received it said that the card that was used had to be produced when going to the park. Now... I realise that I should have ticked the right box, but it wasnt very clear, and I contacted Customer Services straight away to ask what they could do - my daughter lives in a totally different part of the country to me and it would mean that I would have had to send her my bank card complete with pin and then be 'cardless' until she sent it back to me! Not a great state of affairs really.

They were totally unhelpful, could offer no solution and to be honest just had no interest in helping me, as I'd already paid... needless to say, the money went to waste. I would never use them again.
