Santander is following me

I was out buying the last of my christmas presents today and I was shocked at how much Santander you see out and about now.
We have 3 branches, soon to be 4 as our RBS is included in the branch sale. The main branch is on the high street. Directly behind it is the 2nd branch which used to be Bradford & Bingley. Our branch of A+L is right opposite that and has now been rebranded Santander and at the bottom of the road is the future branch!
Go away, Santander.

Santander is spreading like a rash.0

There are 3 on my local high street too. 2 big ones that used to be Abbey and A&L branches and one small one that used to be a bradford & bingley branch, all within a stones throw of each other, I don't know how they are going to be able to sustain so many branches :eek:Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

In Belfast city there is two branches facing each other on one street. Suppose if the q is big in one then you can just cross the road and try the other but then I jus avoid them altogether0

, I don't know how they are going to be able to sustain so many branches
They are not - but it will take time to consolidate them into fewer larger branches.
In my local town there are two right opposite each other - but neither is large enough to handle all the business, so my guess is they will find bigger premises and close them both.0 -
Wait 6 months and there will only be one or two in each city/town like dugz said they have only just started and will take some time to combine branches etc... They seem a lovely bank thou ! NOT0

Same in my town there are three within less than 100 metres of eachother with two almost next door to eactother. Oddly one of them is a recently opened brand new branch altogether, it isn't a rebranded B&B or Abbey like the other two.
Still wouldn't touch them with a bargepole if A+L was anything to go by.0 -
In the future entire Streets will be full of only Santander, Starbucks and Subway.:rotfl:If freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0

The RBS phenomenon was very interesting. They suddenly came out of left field, armed with what appeared to be limitless funds, buying up everything in sight.
Now Santander is doing the same thing. Who are they fronting for?"Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -

In an attempt to discover this for you, I visited their web site and paste below just a snatch of a part of it:Santander Banca Institucional ofrece alternativas a las instituciones, con respuestas especializadas, !giles y eficientes, y da soluciones a sus demandas comerciales y de colaboraci!n en proyectos.
Now I have never spoken a word of Spanish in my life. I don't have a clue what it says. But just taking a wild stab, I would guess something like this:
"Santander Bank is an alternative to institutions with a reputation for efficiency. We offer solutions which demand commercial collaboration of a protective nature.
The Institution is especially difficult to stomach for exclusive private institutions. We equip our professionals with ineptitude that necessitates animal sins, fundamental religious orders, and associations that sell your grandad."0
