Does anyone have Electrolux Powerplus Z4471 Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner?

If so, please could you tell me if it comes with a decent dusting brush. I have looked at various websites and they say that it has a combination crevice nozzle brush but I can't see any pictures and John Lewis said that it has a brush but it is quite small but I'm not sure if it will be adequate. All the vacuum cleaners I've had in the past come with a full size dusting brush like on a Henry.

I have a slightly earlier model, but it looks virtually identical to the pictures I can find on google for the VC you mention. It will come with one of these:

Unfortunately, it's a bit 'pants' - the brush part is not brilliant as a brush, and when being used as a crevice tool, it 'flips' back over to the brush part very easily. A temporary solution is to use a strong elastic band around the tool to stop it 'flipping' back over. A long term solution is to dump the tool and buy individual full-size crevice and dusting brushes, cheaply available on Ebay.

Thanks a lot, that's exactly what I needed to know. The problem with buying separate brushes I suppose is that there is no where to store them on the cleaner.

It's a pity, because the cleaner seemed ideal (I have got rid of all my carpets recently so now just want a light compact vacuum).
  • The storage available in a compact cleaner is restricted, hence the need for a combined tool such as this.
