Having put it off for a very long time (and feeling like I am the only one left with an old 35mm camera these days:o) ... I need to take the plunge and get a digital camera!
I have no fancy requirements ... except that it does what it say in the tin - don't want anything super hi tech. I quite like Samsung (my last samsung camera was very very good and I like their customer services too ...)
So could anyone poiint me in the direction of where I might get a camera reasonably priced (not much over £100 ... and less if possible)
I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START
!!!
If anyone has any tips/suggestions - I'd be very grateful.

You know, I think a good requirement for buying a digital camera is to see what you use it for.
From my previous experience, most people don't use it past taking pictures socially and pictures of monuments and sights on trips.
As a result, I don't think anything more than a 4MP camera is needed. You can get them quite cheap, but, it depends on what kind of quality you are looking for.
For a starting point, I would suggest https://www.dpreview.com.
They have reviews of the lastest cameras, and sample picture qualities.
I personally am a Canon fan just because they have great technology. I have two Canon cameras, and I can't say I have been disappointed.0
