Using up apricot compote

Hi OSers
Long story short...
Big jar of runny compote
Use within 3 days, blah blah... Well it's been weeks and I just had to pick mould out of it. But I think it's otherwise fine
There's lots left (the large part of 600g) and it's a shame to chuck it - anything I can use it up in? Maybe something I can freeze? I do love apricot but we don't eat many sweet things.
Thank you!

You could have it with a plain yoghurt or in a crumble.Or you could freeze it in small portions,to use up as you need.0

Thanks marmite. It really is very runny - I should probably be drizzling it on ice-cream, I'm not sure it could take a crumble toppingMy TV is broken!

Oops,I always think of compote as having 'solid' lumps of fruit in.
Maybe you could reduce it by heating it,so that it's less runny?0 -
Spread on the pastry base of an apricot bakewell before adding the almond mixture on top.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

There are lumps of fruit, but generally it's pretty sloppy
I bought it after eating some kind of tangy apricot compote-like thing at breakfast in Morocco and hoping it would be like that... but it was much sweeter.

Quite honestly fay, if it's been open weeks and you had to pick the mould out, then remember the old adage " if in doubt, chuck it out" you obviously weren't that keen to start with, and I am sure you don't want to put yourself and others at risk for a few pence worth of dodgy tinned fruit.0

Use your apricot mixture instead of the juice. Maybe thin it out with a bit of water first.Felines are my favourite
