Mint 1.9% balance transfer offer

I have just paid off my Mint card by Post Office card BT as the 0% on purchases was ending. I was intending to close it so I could apply for a low rate LOB card with M&S but I had a letter this morning offering 1.9% for 6 months. However, the sting in the tail is the 2% uncapped BT fee.
I rang to ask if the fee could be waived or at least capped and was told no, even after I said I was going to close the card.
Has anyone had any luck in getting the Mint BT fee reduced and if so, how?
Thanks in advance.

No luck with waiving the BT fee (mine was capped at £49), but they did offer me 0% for 6 months on BT's.Sunbunny wrote:Has anyone had any luck in getting the Mint BT fee reduced and if so, how?0 -
Off topic - but it just occurred to me that I have never heard of existing customers offered a period of interest-free purchases (rather than a balance transfer at 0%) or even (less likely) a low rate on purchases (like 1.9) for a period. Maybe this will surface one day, but you could always ask if they could do a combined BT/purchases deal and then just stick to purchases?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
