Double Yellow Line PCN Help Please

Hi there

Just after some advice please.

I have been given a ticket for parking on double yellow lines outside my house.

The restrictions are just solid double yellow lines, no signage,no times, and as I understand double yellows mean no waiting at any time.

My ticket states the offence of "parked in a restricted street during prescibed hours".

I know its splittling hairs, but to me, this is the incorrect offence and therefore I think this renders the PCN void.

What does everyone think?

Double yellow means no parking or waiting at any time! The prescribed hours being any time. Post the PCN up on pepipoo see if there are any mistakes on the PCN.

Correct DYL operate 24/7 and do not require timeplates

That is the correct contravention (code 01) for parking on DYL.

Your best bet would be to post about your case on pepipoo forums, start a new thread there including a scan or pic of the front and back of the PCN (just blank out car ID and PCN number). Include pictures of the road if you can. Pepipoo are the experts.
