in Credit cards
Through no fault of my own, I lost my job in February this year, and literally had to fight tooth and nail to claim on my PPI for Credit Cards. I have now been advised by Royal Bank of Scotland, (Credit Card Operations) that as I will be 65 in January, my Cover will cease. However, Barclaycard have informed me that as the working age has been raised, my Cover on their Card will continue to age 70! I am still required to undertake Job Search to prove I am looking for work. As a lone female, with only my State Pension to live on, I just don't know how I am going to manage. Anyone else in this dilemma? Why the variance between Payment Protection Policies ?

There are variances as they are written by different companies as there are differences between different companies (and even brands within a company) home insurance.
Are your intentions to get another job? If you hadnt lost your job when were you intending to retire? How were you intending to pay for your credit cards etc when you retired? All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

It was my intention to carry on working until I had paid off the balance on my credit cards. My employers had no issues with me carrying on working - I am a 'young' 64 year old! Unfortunately, little did I know I was working for a 'corrupt' organisation who had failed to pay their employee's Tax & N.I., although deducted at source - they are currently under Police Investigation.0
