Putting under counter freezer besides gas cooker

Just moved to the house and found another surprise as the previous owner's freezer was under stairs in the small kitchen and following them i did the same (already went through lot of pain to find the right size fridge/freezer/washer plus reversing the doors as well) BUT after putting the freezer i found that freezer door only opens half way through so you can open only 30% of draws, just can't understand how they've been managing it from past 25 years.
What i'm thinking now is to swap freezer with Washer Dryer which is currently sitting besides cooker. But i'm worrying on two things if i do that:
1) There will be only 5-6cm gap b/w freezer and gas cooker which can cause heat up to freezer
2) In order to put washer dryer under stairs i'll have to take water pipe very close to electrical boards (electric meters/switches etc) which is looking dangerous to me.
What do you suggest?

By gas cooker, I take it you mean a hob and an oven. If so, do you use the oven much?
If you don't use the oven much, it shouldn't be an issue. If you use the oven quite frequently, it's not advisable, for obvious reasons.
As regards the washer/dryer under the stairs, water and electrics are never a good combination. If water were to get into the electric meter and, perhaps fuse box, it wouldn't be a two minute fix. I'd avoid at all costs if I were you.0 -
My under counter freezer is next to my electric oven , had/have no problems with the arrangement .
Oven , as standard ?? used every day.0 -
Yeah its cooker with Oven and my wife uses it ones a week, i also want to avoid taking water pipe near to electrical.
Looks like the only option i'm left with is to put freezer in the lounge and if that is the case then i would have bought one tall fridge/freezer instead of two under counter small ones
Just don't understand how previous owners were managing like this.0 -

That is not a problem. Pipe wont leak water , electricity is safe if installed correctly .is to put freezer in the lounge
Very attractive !0
