help a graduate

Hi all,

so I graduated this year and started my job about 6 weeks ago. I still have a 'International Student' account at hsbc, which I'd like to get rid of (they've been charging me £5/m for nothing for 4 years. stupid me, i know). The job is quite good, but I will need to go into debt because I've been delaying a few biggies for a looong time (e.g. wedding+honeymoon...). I'm not sure of the amount, but i'd expect ~2.5k, maybe up to 3.5k. I know graduate accounts allow up to 2k on 0% in year 1 (LLoyds & RBS). but, as i said, i'll probably need more. moneysavingexpert says LLoyds allows to open a graduate account with another bank as well. can i open both? am i forced to pay my salary into either/both? - can't seem to find that info. or is there some trickery with minimum monthly deposits? (i'm getting about 2k/m after tax, if that matters). any help/advice? thanks a lot!
