I ordered my son a vtech camera from their website..they took their money out my bank straight away. Delivery says 2-6 working days and yet nothing....its been almost 9 days .

They said courier would be in touch ..i am still waiting!

i have emailed them no reply as of yet...can not ring them as my phone line is down at the mo.

has anyone had this problem ? also who does their deliveries ?

Could it be because of the poor weather conditions - if they are doing it by courrier have they not provided a link to track?

I had this problem too, they are completely pants.

My order finally arrived yesterday, the courier told me he'd called earlier but I wasn't there for my slot. What slot, I never did receive the text they say you will get to tell you when your order is being delivered. Good job he was kind enough to come back.

No Sneezy, they don't give you any way of tracking your order. And they don't answer emails asking where your order is either.

  • I ordered two Ben 10 Cars off the internet from Smyths Toy Store.
I received the order within 2-6working days but only received one Ben10 Car when I ordered two.

The invoice in the box stated 2 of 2 items and the box stated 1 of 1 item.

I called the customer service number and it constantly rings out (sounds like house phone) it states the mailbox is full and no more messages can be left on the voicemail.

I emailed the customer service team the same day and was advised it will be three working days before anybody would respond; it has been 4 working days today and I have had no response.

I called the local Smyths Store and was advised to come into the store and they will sort it out.

I went in today and all they did was take my details and stated they will email the manager in Ireland who is very busy and it will take a week to reply!

I now have to wait a week before anybody acknowledges that a mistake has been made and that they will rectify it...no guarantee that this will happen.

Not happy with the service provided by them - no response to telephone calls to a 0906 number and no response to emails.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SMYTHS TOY STORE TO ANYONE... PLEASE AVOID IT...

Having heard their advert which implied that they charged more than they were trying to convey I don't think I would send my cash there to be honest.

It used to say xxxx doll more than half price etc etc more than half price that's not cheap is it?
I think someone has told them it's not good to imply you are expensive lol.

And whilst I am ranting just heard a Curry's ad "down to an amazing £79" what is amazing about £79??? Illiterate advertising industry?

Back on topic I think the early bad weather has caught a lot of people unaware, hope it's delivered soon.

There was something on their facebook page about the delay in orders due to the weather.

You were lucky Amazon seem to be taking forever to get stuff sent out at the moment.
  • I will never use Smyths and will tell everyone I know not to use them either. I placed my first order (2 Lego items) with Smyths on 11th NOVEMBER and my order HAS STILL NOT ARRIVED. The website said the items were in stock. Despite numerous e-mail requests for information I have received no communication whatsoever. Give me Tesco Direct/ John Lewis any day. I buy most presents online and have never experienced such a bad service.
