SKy maintenance cover scam 01792 689216

I have posted on one of the sky boards but wanted to ask on here if anyone else is aware of this scammer who povides "Wales' premier Digital tv cover service" (according to his answering machine)

I took over a call made to my mother from a 'sky' representative this morning, at the point where he was asking for her bank details in order to renew a (non existent) service cover policy. I told him that I don't fall for this kind of scam and he told me that I watch myself using "inappropriate language" to speak to him.... ("Scam" is the least of the kind of inappropriate language i would have used if i'd had the energy!)

His number was 01792 689216 and when I rang back to try to find more details I got an answerphone message asking me to call an 0844 number. I am really infuriated that he tried to rip off my elderly mother! I couldn't catch the company name on the answering message and wonder if anyone else knows of this.

I'd like to report him if i knew how! :mad:

Why not report him to the police and trading standards? Giving them his telephone number should be enough (police should be able to trace him from that anyway)
