Hi
I am looking to buy my daughter a digital camera for xmas up to £100, one of the features that she would like on it is ' date stamp ' where the date is stamped onto the picture.I have looked at different cameras but none of them seem to mention this as a feature now.I am aware that the date is stored in the actual photo file on the camera and can be printed onto the photo using software on the computer but this is not how she would like to do it,as it would get to long winded, she would just like to be able to take the memory card out of the camera go to the shop and get them printed out with the date on.Can anyone reccommend a suitable camera please.?

It seems like Canon cameras can sometimes have this option...
How about the Canon A490, 49.99 in argos - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5593677/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CPhotography%7C14419436/c_2/3%7C15701379%7CDigital+cameras+and+packages%7C14419441/c_3/4%7Ccat_14419441%7CDigital+cameras%7C14419442.htm
Apparently you can add a timestamp to the images:

Image quality seems quite good also - http://www.flickr.com/groups/1395971@N22/0 -
As far as I am aware, almost all digital camera's have this facility.0

if you do get a camera for under 100 do not buy the little £50 fuji one
its really rubbish you would be better giving a pencil to a 4 month old baby and getting them to draw a picture0 -
Thanks for the advice guys i will have a look at the canon that was mentioned. As said this function seems to be fizzled out of cameras now hence why im finding difficult to find one with it on,surely they could leave it in the menu and let people decide either way if they want this function on or not.0
